E-Star Colorado is now the E-Star Division of the Smart Energy Living AllianceTM. More than a year ago, the boards of both organizations began exploring the merger. Staff and key funders agreed that a merger made sense. Both organizations provided education and information and collaborated with utilities and energy-efficiency providers as they worked to strengthen the energy marketplace and create a more sustainable energy future.
E-Star remains committed to advancing energy efficiency in housing by providing critical training and support to the professionals who provide energy-efficiency services and products.
E-Star manages several program areas, including:
ENERGY STAR Summit. This annual event brings together the best minds in the home building industry to educate home builders, contractors, architects, manufacturers, code officials, remodeling professionals, utilities representatives, students and educators about cutting-edge designs and techniques used to build high-performance homes.
Home Energy Rating System. E-Star is an accredited HERS provider through the Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET). E-Star supports a network of independent raters who provide builders and home owners with quantitative and verifiable data about the energy features in their homes.
ENERGY STAR® New Homes. This program enables builders and other home industry professionals to differentiate themselves in the market. New homes that are ENERGY STAR-rated provide greater energy efficiency, comfort and durability for home buyers. Homebuilder rebates now available for qualifying ENERGY STAR New Homes
