Meet the 2006 Winners: The Sullivan Family

Lee and Carisa Sullivan were recently awarded a Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® makeover for their Colorado Springs residence. Their home has become energy-efficient, safe, durable, and comfortable with lower energy bills. They were selected from more than 700 applications for the Makeover contest. Carisa is a registered nurse at Evans Army Hospital and Lee has his own landscaping business. They came from Texas, not anticipating that a home in Colorado Springs could be so leaky and cold throughout. "Our house was so drafty and cold, and we were struggling to fix the problems one at a time. Now, every room in our house is comfortable and we don't have to dress in winter layers indoors," states Carisa Sullivan
